Beautiful!
Is Excentro Lite enough to do those? (fingers crossed).

Hey Kong,

The light version of excentro is pretty useful from what I can gather (its just missing a bunch of tools). Fortunately excentro is only the begining of my workflow. The guilloche patters are brought into adobe illustrator where I go crazy on them using my favorite plugins from Astute Graphics. I spend lots of time creating "sections" of geometry like this - that I then assemble into the larger images.

I think these look really fantastic. Anybody know any windows or linux gear to make guilloche patterns?

Ah, then you're talented Purp. I was afraid of that.

Sandy, you can play with this toy:
http://blackholedesign.com/vectorizer/

It saves out SVGs, but I found the sliders hard to use with any intent. Though there is a "roll the dice" button specifically for randomly generating designs, it felt like the whole darn thing is random. Of course, if you're smart and know how to get the results you want, you could type in the numbers...but that leaves me out.

The feature that's tantalizing in the full version of Excentro is the ability to select a portion of guilloche which then gets kaleidoscoped (to coin a term) into a repeating pattern. Neato, but not $500 neato.
