hello all,
i am stuggeling with my processing skills 🙁 i am trying to create a spiral with constant distance between the single points on the spiral, something like a square root spiral / spiral of theodorus. any ideas or maybe a simple already existing processing sketch?

thanks

ok, find a solution. maybe working late at night does not really help solving problems 🙂

I Need a HELP or a hint. working on a "Project" creating my own very small and tiny firmware. the Trouble i got is caused by the communication between ARDUINO and PROCESSING. I made it to establish a more or less communication between the two but i am struggeling when it comes to the steppers. Idea is to send the X- / Y-coordinates and RGB information from processing to arduino via serial, arduino moves the stepper and once finished reports processing that he can forward the next coordinates. all the stuff with the strings and ASCII and what ever is way to compicated for me. I would like to have a really simple PING/PONG communication between processing and arduino. all tutorial i found did not really help.

i hope someone understands my Problem 🙂

ok, no sucess in getting my arduino do what i would like him to do. so i played a little bit with processing creating my own "death-to-sharpies" version 🙂 in a very very primitive version. but after playing several hours with the values of the parameters i am pretty happy with the result. created a svg file and put it on my polargraph. one picture is the drawing and the other a jpg from processing.

happy X-mas from sunny germany

I think this looks great - I really like the semi-ordered nature of it, the spirals forming the main structure, but then the line being pulled away into areas of interest, or scooting over blank bits.

Look through the SerialCallResponse, SerialCallResponseASCII examples in Arduino for where I started figuring out the communications protocol.

hi, first sucess regarding my "rgb-spiral-o-graph". the hardest thing besides my very poor programming experience is to make a good long exposture picture. and here is my first presentable picture. not really spectacular and a little bit too clean and nice; but i am happy

cheers thomas
