The standard polargraph firmware (polargraph server a1) runs on arduino uno compatible boards - so UNOs, Duemilenoves, boarduinos, Seeeduinos etc.

The DFRduino MEGA I'm using currently is equivalent to an Arduino MEGA, and has more memory and things. It's not necessary for the "a1" version of the polargraph server, but it lets me use a few new features that are nice - namely drawing from an SD card without having the PC connected. It uses the "polargraph server mega" firmware.
