Post Controller error?

just recently had issues with the controller software after 3 days of it running fine.

Im on windows and i have the latest java installed
when running the .exe the process just hangs and no error message is displayed, same for 32 and 64 bit.

EDIT

now im getting a msgbox saying Error calling ShellExecuteEx() , could it be not playing nicely with the new version of java ?

i had the same error and downgraded my java version.
that worked fine for a few days..

today M$ pushed 100+ updates into my machine, now the controller wont start but the javaw process is running and has ~84MB of ram tied up.
