I got this problem and can not solve this. I am reading page on wiki but that solutions not helps. I tried extremely variables such a grid=600 and pen tip size=0.01 but it still give short lines.
It run in Processing 2.2.1 and Windows 7 x64.
I built polargraph on arduino nano with uln2003 and 28byj-48. It works good and manually moves is correct. Pen test works correct.
Any suggestions?

For your "nan" problem, yes you need to "send pen tip size".
