Post Troubleshooting - 1º Drawing

I recently built this polargraph, and then at my first attempt of doing anything, this happened: -on photo 1 I set everything right, the area, the frame, and stuff then clicked on render. ok ? nope
-i entered my specs correctly and ther's proof on photo 2.
- But instead of Einstein, my polargraph have done me this: photo 3, all blank lines...

its the third time a try to do something on this, and it keept bullying me (<-joke (sort of...))

Ps.: I've done the pen thickness thing and set it right after the communication was started.

Hi Matheus, don't feel bullied! Don't let it forget who holds the power cord 🙂

The stream of commands looks ok - although in the queue preview (which is the red overlay) all the pixels are showing up as solid red dots (the shading of the red dots indicates the brightness of the pixel), when using the scaled pixel style that is normal. The preview doesn't show size, only shaded brightness/density.

Your pen tests look good, but something important to note is that a pen test with a big grid can help you detect the pen tip size accurately, _but_ you need to do a pen width test at the _same grid size_ as your drawing if you want to see what your pixels will actually look like. So try doing the pen width test at grid 35, and see if anything actually comes out. You might need to push the pen tip size down a bit to get it to express any marks.

good luck!

I definitely shouldn't be giving advice because a summer cold has my brain completely fuzzy, but there's something odd about that setup page screenshot. All the numbers on the buttons don't match what's on the board preview thingy. For example, the buttons say "900 MACHINE HEIGHT" but the board view says it's 1757 tall.

In addition to doing what Sandy said, try a frequency square wave drawing to make sure it matches the pen test you do.

Oh good spot Kong, I didn't notice that at all, but the numbers are very odd. I wonder if there's something funny with how the properties file has been saved or loaded. I have never been very confident that the properties reloading was completely robust (I never use it).

The main thing that I know is a bit broken is that when you change the mmPerRev setting, the display machine changes size too, _without_ changing the values displayed on the number spinners. That's a bit weird. It means you have to reset the size of the machine in mm (height and width) after changing the mmPerRev. However, because the number spinner values _don't_ change, it's easy enough to just click once on each one, and the old value returns.

Not sure if that explains the strange numbers.

At any rate, I don't think it should affect your actual problem, but something to be aware of.

I discovered what was wrong with that, i didnt send the tip siz to the arduino. very bad...
but ok, so I did this, i got frequency on the paper now, but my machine is to wrong to do anything, it keeps on losting track of the position of the gondola, and there are some images to demonstrate that:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/txi5qmcpoa7vkcf/IMG_3833.JPG

as it is shown the machine got it all messy..

what do i do ? to calibrate it ?

Not a calibration problem, looks like a power problem - your left-hand motor doesn't have a good enough grip on the cord and is letting too much out for each row. OR the sprocket it not gripping well enough on the shaft of the motor, that's possible too.

Check your power circuits, voltage etc. When the motors are "locked" and not moving, it should be pretty difficult to move them manually, by pulling on the cords.
