I have always wondered if it was possible to 3d Print with wax. IT IS and the following video demonstrates step by step how it’s being done.
To summarize the process:
- A layer of hot wax is printed.
- The machine pauses a few seconds to let the wax cool down.
- Then using a rotary planer combined with a vacuum the printed layer is flattened to a very thin layer.
