Post Loud Motor Hum

I have started hooking up my Polarshield, and when I hook up the Left motor (motor A) it hums like crazy and then will not rotate correctly. Although when I hook up the right motor (motor B) it works just fine.

So I took off the board on my first polargraph and tried that one, this did the same hum, although the right motor rotated correctly.

Seems like I may have burnt up my motor while attaching it, while trying to figure the lighting but I wasnt sure if that was possible.

Hm! Puzzler Chris. So on the same stepper motor driver, one motor works, the other one doesn't?

A crazy hum, and bad movement usually means I've visited a disco.

Right, that was a joke. Any burning smell from the motor? Remember to always kill the power before unplugging the motors. I have heard of burning out a driver, but not a motor. When I have a humming, jittery motor usually means I've got one of the wires switched.

Give you an update, the motor was fried. Not sure how I did it, I still havent hooked up my polarshield completely so I guess something could have happend there, but when I hooked it (the motor) to my trusty ole' uno w/ adaboard it still acted the same way. So out with the old motor and in with an order to Adafruit.

Thanks for the help along the way!
