Newbie question! First go at drawing a vector image of text this afternoon. It works!
As yet I don't have a servo motor to hand to lift the pen up. Before it arrives hopefully next week, I would like to know do I have to write lift instructions or will it work out where one letter ends and the next starts so I don't get the line drawn between characters?
Many thanks to Sandy and others for all the time put into this project.

Thanks, glad you'd getting lines out of it 🙂 (albeit slightly too many at the moment). The answer is yes: When you do "draw vector", the controller always generates penups/pendowns in the appropriate places. The machine itself assumes there is a lift connected, and will pulse the servo pin regardless.

The only other time the lifts are added automatically is when rendering pixels - sometimes blank pixels are lifted over, and of course at the beginning and end of a drawing.
