Post Spiral drawing

Hi all,
Please my last test with spiral.
I have modified the picture in photoshop in order to have all the line drawing ( add gray noise in the white).
I have set the pixel scale to 1.15 in order to maximize the black.
Still some points to work as the spirals are oval on top and round in the bottom and the top of the picture is curved.
To be honest I do not know why.
But the results is great.

Beautiful results indeed! The spiral distortion is normal - like all pixel shading styles, spiral pixel is drawn using the native "polargraphic" coordinates system.

Thanks sandy,
it is the same explanation for the curved top part of the picture ?

Yes exactly, none of the edges are actually straight, it is just more obvious on the top edge.

The native coordinates system is based on curved axes, the cartesian system we usually use is based on straight axes. You will never have an occasion where a row of pixels in the native system "happen" to line up perfectly with any straight line line in the cartesian system.

I've just switched to using a polarshield sd machine from an adafruit motor shield/ uno combination.

The first thing I did was try out the spiral pixel, but I couldn't stop laughing at the highly funky stepper sounds it made, especially when drawing a dense pixel!

Lovely drawing by the way!

Ha, it makes me laugh too, that last bit where it decelerates slower and sloowwwer and slllooowwwerrrr.

I love the sound of the steppers it reminds me of the signal from Contact with Jodie Foster, although it may be because the large drawing surface I have resonates the sounds more.
