Post Cant get Vector Drawings to "stay"

Hi, Sandy - when I'm using JPG files I have no problem placing the image where I want it on the page - I just move it to where I want it, click, and it stays there. However, with Vectors, I have a hard time finding them, and then, when I do find them, I can't get them to "stay" where I want them - they keep following the cursor around, no matter how much I click. I've tried placing them where I want them, and then "leaving" them there for a while, in case it takes a while for the file to "stick" but to no avail. What's my problem ?

Not sure. Is it a really big / complicated SVG? Moving it will be sluggish.

Only thing worth mentioning is that the controller will only display and draw lines from the vector, when the line entirely fits within the "frame". The frame being a selectable area on the surface in the controller, demarcated with red lines at it's corners.

You set the frame by using 'select area' to draw out a selection box, then clicking 'set frame to area'. The position of the frame is saved in the settings file. It doesn't get used for much, but this is the main thing.

Thanks, Sandy - that was the problem - somehow my drawing/frame area were off the page - I had noticed one red crosshair on the page, and thought that might be something to do with it, but couldn't figure out how to move it.
I haven't played with my Polargraph in a year - it's more of a winter pastime for me, and previously I'd only worked with JPG files. With them, you "select area" AFTER you've got your image located, so I never thought about that aspect of things.
Thank you for your help - I'm also playing with another type of "drawbot" which I'm having problems with, and help isn't quite so forthcoming 🙂

Ha no problem - well hopefully your other machine doesn't have so many things that need fixing 🙂
