Hello All,
I'm new to Polargraphs and art in general, I spent a few minutes in Blick's Art supplies and was surprised there were so many different types of pens. And don't even get me started on the paper, who would have known, not this guy.
So, I am a Mechanical Designer by trade, I sit in front of a computer and spin CAD models all day. You could call me a CAD Jockey if you were so inclined. I'm also really really into 3D Printing. I have built my own 3D Printers since way before they got insanely popular and still make a ti=one of stuff with them.
I remember hearing about the polargraph 3 years ago or so through an interesting upload on Thingiverse, it was some king of gondola part and I was thinking "What the heck is a Polargraph" When I say it I said, that is the second coolest thing next to 3D Printing and I need to get into that.
So flash forward 3 years later while I'm sitting in my temporary office in germany and I decided to order one of the latest PolargraphSD kits. Now fast forward about 8 months later when all the kits are complete and ship to my American home base. I'm now up and running, but printing really basic stuff.
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for navigating this new world of art supplies and what stuff might be useable for a new Polargrsph operator.
