Hi,

I just received the polargraph SD kit and am having a new issue uploading the firmware to the MEGA. I am getting the error: polargraph_server_a1:361: error: aggregate 'File root' has incomplete type and cannot be defined

I have tried troubleshooting on my own and cannot figure it out. Is there an SD library that needs to be included?

I am using the SD kit, Arduino 1.6.5, and Windows 7.

Thank you,
Erik

Erik you can use the polargraph_server_polarshield firmware now - that's the right thing for a MEGA plus Polarshield.

You should just use the precompiled binary hex file unless you want to set up the libraries (not hard, just a faff).

I thought I included a MEGA with your order though? It already has the firmware loaded on it.

oh snap! I didn't realize the firmware was uploaded already. Thank you. I used xloader to upload the v2 hex file before I realized this (I hope it didn't mess anything up), but I have all of the motors hooked up now and they are moving by command in processing. (small victory!)

Yes you included a Mega. I will hook it up now and report back. Pumped to see this thing finally move!

🙂 no problem - if you use xloader to splat polargraph_server_polarshield_v2_2.4.cpp.hex over the top of anything, should work great.

Good work 🙂
