So I've completed most of the mechanical build, except for the pen lift servo.

I've loaded the firmware on the polarshield and hooked up the motors.

I haven't attached it to a controller software package on a machine yet, but I'm curious if my motors are working correctly direction wise.

Currently when I hit the DEC buttons on the touchscreen to adjust the movement the gondola moves up my surface and when I hit the INC button for a motor it moves down my surface.

Does this sound like the right direction or should I swap the pairs of wires on my motors?

No I think that's right Ostrich, for either cord, INC is INCrease length, DEC is DECrease length. Neat setup btw!

It's my temporary setup. I had a smaller piece of wood (2 foot by 4 foot) that I've setup to get everything running. Eventually I'll want to expand it to a 4 foot x 4 foot or so.

Right now everything is held on with 3M Command strips. 🙂

After building a 3D printer and having fun getting the motors to turn the right way I was surprised I got it right the first time on these. Although I kinda looked at that circuit board you created for the motor mounts and it looked like it was a straight through connection, so that's what I did with these.

Thanks for the Kit. Now it's time to figure out the software side of things and get drawing.
