Hi All, great forum,

Well tried building my own polargraph using 28byj unipolar motors but for some reason the motors turn the required amount etc, but only in one direction 🙁 . Any ideas would really be appreciated.

regards

Hi there, welcome 🙂

I've never used unipolar motors, but from what I read (http://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-motor-shield/using-stepper-motors) they still need to be wired up the same way as the bipolar ones, but with the extra connection to the ground.

good luck

I have seen some of the wicked polargraphs that others on this forum have built and even though I know my child is the fat ugly kid in the group, I feel like a proud dad and so I have put together a clip of my 1st "proper" drawing. When I get home and have access to tools again, I will definitely build a proper polargraph!!
